Community Supermarket Volunteer

Uttlesford Community Action Network (UCAN), in partnership with The Active Wellbeing Society, is setting up a mobile community supermarket to support local residents. We are seeking volunteers to help make this possible.

Volunteers, along with a supervisor, will support the smooth operation of the mobile supermarket, which functions like a shop where customers pay a small fee for the food they purchase.

Volunteer tasks include:

1. Setting up the mobile supermarket.
2. Welcoming and serving customers.
3. Clearing away.
4. Engaging with service users.

The shop will be located at two sites within South Uttlesford in the mornings and afternoons.

Week A Locations: Takeley, Hatfield Broad Oak, Hatfield Heath, & South Dunmow

Volunteers are needed for approximately 2 hours per session.

We are looking for volunteers who:

• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Want to be involved in their community.

Sessions are approximately 2 hours each.
