Book Volunteer

Main purpose of the role
We are looking for someone who loves books! Our Thames Drive shop has a book department which needs regular rotating and re-filling. We also do charity scanning with any books we can’t sell and books that have had their chance on the shop floor and haven’t sold.

Volunteers Responsibilities

1. To sort books, deciding which will be sold and which will be scanned.
2. Rotating books that have been on sale for two weeks or more.
3. Pricing and re-filling the books while keeping them within subjects.
4. Fiction is displayed alphabetically by author.
5. Scanning books on the computer for charity scanning.
6. Boxing up any books that sell ready for collection.

Skills

Relevant experience
No experience necessary, but basic computer skills are an advantage.

This role is flexible around the volunteer but a regular commitment is expected anytime between Monday – Sunday 9:30am-4:00pm.
