An opportunity to work with Beicio Cymru/Welsh Cycling on ‘Pedal and Picnic’. The project enables girls between the ages of 11 and 17 years to participate in a local bike ride and social picnic.

We would love the project to be delivered by someone local to Llanrumney, who is interested in or already volunteers (in some capacity). We are looking for 1-2 female leaders (18+ years) who would like the opportunity to be upskilled as a British Cycling Ride Leader.

The potential leader would need to be confident cycling on roads but doesn’t need to have significant cycling experience. The course will take place in early spring and will consist of a couple of online modules, followed by a one-day in-person session with a tutor. Following this, the ride leaders would be required to lead the pedal and picnic project (with support from Beicio Cymru and Met Sport).

If you would like to register interest in the course/project or ask any questions, then please contact me.
