The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

IBK is a community based, non-for-profit social enterprise based in Sheffield with over 20 years’ experience of providing a bespoke matching service as well as Direct Payment Support for families, children and adults with a range of needs.

We are currently supporting a few children and adults with a range of needs and disabilities to find a PA or PAs to support them with their daily lives. Whether this is working with those who need companionship and motivation, supporting them with physical care, keeping them safe while enjoying their hobbies and interests, and most importantly to help them live their best lives.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Support taking daily medications
  • Support them to build confidence
  • Assistance washing, dressing, feeding and moving around
  • Using a variety of equipment e.g. wheelchairs, hoists support throughout day and night
  • Understanding their emotional needs
  • Keeping them safe

Personalities and traits:

  • Friendly and reliable
  • Adaptable to routines
  • Some work or personal experience or studying in that particular subject area
  • Be physically and emotionally capable
  • Respectful of other ethnicities and cultures
  • Have a good sense of humour
  • Experience of working with those with complex needs and communication difficulties using PECs
  • Friendly, reliable and respectful in the family home
  • Have a genuine desire to positively enhance the young person’s life

Hours and job types could range from:

  • Permanent to Temporary
  • Part time to full time
  • Weekdays and weekends

Location: Sheffield

Salary can range from: £12.21/hr to £15.41/hr

Type of Contract: Hourly

Hours: Depends on the needs of each individual
