Location: Norfolk Lodge, Park Grange Road, Sheffield S2 3QF

Hours of work: 2 days a week / 8hrs per day 9am – 5pm – currently delivering Art (Weds) and Sports (Thurs) but subject to change

Salary: Β£28,629 pro rata – actual salary Β£12,380 per annum

Holidays: 7 weeks (pro-rata) inc Bank Holidays. Currently the Activity and Learning Hub is closed for 7 weeks a year and annual leave should only be taken during this time.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

  • Support and motivate members to participate in learning activities as part of a group.
  • Plan and lead group activities.
  • Produce a plan of group activities / scheme of work six-weekly in advance.
  • Keep records as required.
  • Evaluate sessions and feedback.
  • Support members during lunch, breaks and end of day activities.
  • Provide pastoral support and support with the personal care needs of members as needed.

All Sheffield Mencap and Gateway employees are required to:

  • Comply with all organisational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in and contribute to team meetings, staff training events and away-days.
  • Co-operate and liaise with colleagues.
  • Behave in a professional manner.
  • Make a positive contribution to the vision of Sheffield Mencap and Gateway through their work.

Benefits: Contributory pension, 7 weeks holiday (inc bank holidays) and health scheme after qualifying period.
