An opportunity has arisen for a Business Intelligence Analyst within our Business Intelligence team based at Headquarters in Sheffield.
As an experienced analyst, you will provide specialist, professional, and technical advice, direction, and input across a range of activities and resources to deliver business intelligence. You will use a wide range of software tools, such as Geographical Information Systems and Business Intelligence Reporting Tools, such as Power BI, to enable users to view complex information in an easy-to-use format. You will also have an excellent working knowledge of SQL & Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
You will be using the principles and concepts of trends and identification of intelligence from data to make decisions, to influence others' thinking and to negotiate with them to achieve an outcome. You will have the ability to speak easily and confidently to management at all levels, advising and directing in data and intelligence. You will need experience in delivering training and presentations to individuals and groups, ensuring a level of understanding of how the data is collected and how to interpret it.
With a very good working knowledge of Data Protection and GDPR legislation, you will provide data quality oversight, ensuring our reports, performance measures, and systems meet these requirements.

Closing date for applications is 9 am on Monday 6th April 2026. Sifting will take place during the week commencing Monday 13th April 2026. Interviews will be held on the afternoon of Tuesday 21st April and the morning of Wednesday 22nd April.
New starters will commence on the bottom of the salary grade and will receive increases to the top of the grade on an incremental basis. We offer 28 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays. Annual leave increases after 5 years’ service to 32 days, followed by an extra day a year up to a maximum of 37 days. We also operate a generous flexi time attendance scheme.
Other benefits include a cycle to work scheme, a free on-site gym, enhanced maternity and paternity schemes and the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
