Golddigger Trust are seeking a skilled and passionate Cafe Manager to lead the development and delivery of The Refinery Cafe space, a space that combines high quality hospitality with valuable social purpose. This exciting role is ideal for someone who thrives in cafe operations, values working with people, and is committed to investing in the wellbeing of young people.
The Cafe Manager will oversee and grow three key areas:
1. Wellbeing Cafe for Young People (Mon–Thurs, 3:00–6:00pm): A warm, inclusive space for young people to relax, connect with their wellbeing, and access informal support. The Cafe Manager will oversee all operations, supported by Golddigger Trust’s youth work team.
2. Daytime Cafe Offer (Tues-Thurs 10:30am–2:00pm): Open and establish a welcoming public-facing café offer to generate income and engage the wider community, including office workers and students in the close vicinity.
3. Ad-Hoc Events and Private Hire: Supporting private venue hire and Golddigger Trust fundraising events in evenings and weekends, overseeing the bar and staffing requirements (Additional paid overtime hours as required).
- An experienced Cafe Manager or similar leadership role in a hospitality setting.
- Someone who can work on their own initiative and effectively problem solve
- Friendly, approachable and aspirational, with a great communication style to individuals, small and large groups
