SOHTIS is committed to bringing freedom to victims and survivors of human trafficking in Scotland. This is a great opportunity to work within our social enterprise making beautiful products which we then sell in a variety of locations. We are looking to recruit volunteer sewers or sewing groups who would like to give some time to assist us in replenishing our stock.

All materials including patterns and prototypes will be provided, and we have facilities where you can come and work; alternatively, you can do this from home. If you are creative, there will also be an opportunity to share your ideas for other things we could make. This is an essential role which allows us to recover more victims of human trafficking in Scotland.

Experience required:

Please get in touch if you have good sewing and/or creative skills. All other training and materials will be provided.

Training:

  • Training in making items as required
  • Training on human trafficking in Scotland (optional)

Restrictions:

No minimum commitment required. Volunteers (aged 12-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
