We’re looking for enthusiastic candidates who are able to drive a 3.5 t vehicle and are looking for a change of direction. The work will entail outdoor working in some beautiful areas of the Chichester District. Chichester District Council is responsible for keeping all highways and public areas across 300 square miles clean and tidy. This includes mechanical road sweeping, highway litter picking, clearing fly tips, emptying bins and sweeping and litter picking public areas. This is a great opportunity to play a key part in the development of the service we provide.
CCS operates 6am – 6pm seven days a week. There is also occasional night working. It is anticipated that this role will typically function from 6am – 2pm but you will also be required to work flexibly. Your working week will not exceed 37hrs and will include one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). In circumstances where additional hours are required to complete a task, overtime or time off in lieu is agreed with your manager before the hours are worked.
