We’re looking for a Solutions Engineer - someone ready to make a real impact by partnering with sales and delivering value to our customers.

The Solutions Engineer plays a key role in bridging technical product expertise with commercial success. In this position, you will partner closely with the sales team to own the technical win, demonstrating the value of our solutions to prospective clients and ensuring their requirements are clearly understood and translated into actionable outcomes. The role combines technical knowledge with business insight to accelerate sales cycles, strengthen the pipeline, increase win rates, and secure a seamless transition from sales to implementation. Working cross-functionally with sales, product management, and delivery teams, the Solutions Engineer contributes directly to strategic growth and long‑term customer success.
What will you do to make a difference:
- Collaborate with sales teams in understanding customer requirements, delivering tailored product demonstrations, and translating technical features into clear business value.
- Support RFIs/RFPs, and articulate the value of our solutions to energy industry stakeholders.
- Partner with product and marketing to relay market feedback, shape value propositions, and influence product development priorities.
- Lead proof‑of‑concept implementations, supervise customer onboarding, and ensure a smooth handover of projects to delivery teams with clear documentation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to prospects and clients, promoting best practices in solution use, representing the company at industry events, and staying current on Volue's portfolio, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
In this role, you’ll work closely with Sales and SDR teams to support the sales process, collaborate with Product Management to relay market feedback and influence priorities, partner with Solution Delivery and Implementation to ensure smooth project handovers, engage with Customer Success and Support to maximize client outcomes, and team up with Marketing to shape compelling value propositions and messages.
We believe the right candidate brings:
- MSc or BSc in Engineering, Energy Systems, Computer Science—or equivalent strong relevant experience from the energy software sector.
- 3–5 years in sales engineering, pre‑sales, technical consulting, business analysis or power trading.
- Strong grasp of technical sales and value selling in complex B2B environments.
- Domain expertise in European energy markets, power trading, or grid operations.
- Experience with tools like EMS, SCADA, forecasting platforms, and CRM systems is a plus.
We are looking for candidates who are/who have:
- Structured and detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- High degree of ownership and accountability for results; self‑starting and proactive in engaging customers and internal teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments and cultures.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings and industry events.
- Fluency in English. Any other language is a plus.
