We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support both our in‑house assembly operations and our external manufacturing partners. This role plays an important part in ensuring consistent product quality, particularly in relation to PCB manufacturing and assembly, and hands-on experience in ICT. You will work closely with key suppliers, primarily based in China, to maintain and improve quality standards. Also, with our engineering team in the United States, and our operations teams in Blackburn, United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Quality Management
    • Develop and maintain supplier quality plans
    • Work closely with PCB and electronics manufacturing partners, particularly in China
    • Define and monitor quality metrics and acceptance criteria
    • Conduct remote supplier reviews and support continuous improvement activities
  • Quality Assurance & Process Improvement
    • Monitor and support quality control processes across manufacturing partners
    • Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions on production issues
    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product quality and processes
  • Quality Systems & Documentation
    • Maintain quality standards, procedures, and documentation
    • Support incoming inspection and supplier qualification processes
    • Lead failure analysis and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA)
  • Data Analysis & Database Management
    • Write and execute database queries (e.g., SQL)
    • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
    • Support data‑driven decision‑making through reporting and visualization of quality metrics
  • ICT Experience Qualification
    • Hands‑on experience with In‑Circuit Testing (ICT), including developing, executing, and troubleshooting test programs for PCB assemblies. Familiarity with ICT fixtures, fault diagnostics, and working with design and manufacturing teams to improve test coverage and product quality is preferred.
  • International Collaboration
    • Build strong working relationships with global suppliers and internal teams
    • Ensure alignment on quality expectations across regions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with power electronics (design, manufacturing, or testing)
  • Good understanding of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Hands‑on experience with In‑Circuit Testing (ICT)
  • Experience in a quality or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis, CAPA, or similar methodologies
  • Write and execute database queries (SQL)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with overseas suppliers, ideally in China
  • Experience in electronics production test methods
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
