Role Overview
We are recruiting Trackway Crew Operatives to support the installation and recovery of temporary trackway systems across OHL, utilities and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.
This is a hands‑on, site‑based role, working as part of a crew to deliver safe, efficient access solutions on live sites.
You will work closely with Lead Installers, HGV drivers and plant operators, following RAMS and site rules at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation and recovery of temporary trackway systems.
- Support loading, unloading, stacking and securing of mats and pins.
- Work alongside HGV drivers, crane operators and plant operators.
- Follow RAMS, site rules and strict health & safety procedures.
- Maintain good housekeeping and safe working areas at all times.
- Assist with setting out, alignment and pinning of trackway panels.
- Support site operations during live OHL, utility and infrastructure works.
- Travel UK-wide with regular nights away.
- Work early starts, overtime and weekends where required.
Essential Requirements
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
- Comfortable with physical work and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong safety-first attitude.
- Willing to travel UK-wide and work away from home.
- Ability to follow instructions and work to site plans and RAMS.
Desirable
- Previous experience in trackway, groundworks, utilities or construction.
- CSCS card.
- Experience working on OHL, utilities or infrastructure projects.
- Previous trackway experience is beneficial but not essential – attitude and reliability are key.
