Volta Ventures is a face-to-face marketing company working in the telecoms sector. We run live sales events and in-store retail campaigns for major telecoms brands, growing their customer base through direct, personal engagement — real conversations with real customers, not ads on a screen.

We're based in Birmingham city centre — a short walk from New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill, so we're an easy commute from right across the West Midlands. Our events and retail campaigns are expanding fast, and we're building the team to run them.

This is a hands-on events and retail campaign role. You'll start on the ground face to face at our live events and in-store retail campaigns, talking to customers directly and acquiring new business for our telecoms clients. From there you'll move into running campaigns: hiring and onboarding event staff, owning campaign targets, coaching new starters, and eventually leading teams across multiple sites.

Events and retail campaigns are the part of the business we're growing hardest right now, so there's real room to move — we promote from within, with every manager starting from the grassroots level.

What you'll be doing:

  • Representing major telecoms brands at live events and in-store retail campaigns
  • Acquiring new customers through face-to-face conversation
  • Recruiting, onboarding and training new event and retail staff as you progress
  • Owning campaign targets and reporting on performance
  • Coaching and developing team members on site
  • Helping open new event and retail locations as we expand

What we're looking for:

We care far more about attitude than experience. You'll do well here if you're:

  • Competitive — you want a target and you want to beat it
  • Organised — you can run several things at once without dropping any of them
  • A strong communicator — comfortable starting a conversation with someone you've never met
  • Solutions-oriented — you think on your feet when a day doesn't go to plan
  • Ambitious about leading — you want to develop people, not just hit your own numbers

No degree or previous experience needed. Full training provided.

What you get:

  • Structured management development programme with a clear route from trainee to leading teams and running events and retail campaigns
  • Base salary plus uncapped commission — a guaranteed foundation, with your earnings rising in line with what you deliver
  • Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with extra hours available if you want to earn more
  • International and domestic travel opportunities
  • Networking events, team socials and Rising Stars recognition for top performers

Life at Volta Ventures:

We work hard and we celebrate it. Every day looks different because every campaign is different, and we make a point of recognising the people driving results. If you want a desk job where the week is predictable, this isn't it. If you want to be out there on the ground, in front of customers and moving fast — apply.

Where you'd be based:

Our office is in Birmingham city centre, minutes from New Street. We regularly hire from Solihull, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Walsall, Dudley, West Bromwich, Sutton Coldfield and further out across the West Midlands and Staffordshire — We want to hear from you.
