About The Role
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles are recruiting for a Supply Executive on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the Supply Planning Manager, you will take ownership of the complete order to delivery process for all vehicles for the UK Market and will be responsible for reporting for the customer and brand. You’ll be planning the production of the nation’s orders, maintaining the order bank, releasing vehicles for shipping and trucking and providing forecast updates and coordination of management information for reporting requirements with key stakeholders.

Typical week in the role:
Along with day-to-day activities such as retailer and field team interactions and query handling, team huddles and lunch time Brand or team walks, a typical week as a Supply Executive could look something like this:
- Monday: Review the vehicle pipeline to identify any bottlenecks or isolated delays, escalating with the relevant stakeholders. Weekly Planning and Supply team meeting. Close any final gaps in production filling.
- Tuesday: Analyse inbound and existing UK port volume to forecast transport orders for onward movement of vehicles to Van Centres and represent the Brand in weekly logistics call. Update the weekly production and supply bulletin to ensure Van Centres are fully up to date on the latest happenings. Manager one-to-one followed by personal development time (for example networking meeting, mentorship session, development course etc).
- Wednesday: Review shipping plan vs. expected volumes – highlight risks and opportunities to relevant stakeholders within Brand, and accelerate any concerns. Long‑term transport order plan review, considering latest production plan, confirmed build volume, channel and model mix etc. Represent Supply Planning team in weekly Product Meeting, ensuring alignment on key areas, reporting on status of production filling and flagging any issues preventing production on vehicles.
- Thursday: Brand/department offsite day – business meeting followed by team building activities.
- Friday: Leading the factory production filling call for the UK team, ensuring production scheduling over the weekend runs as smoothly as possible. Raise transport orders to close potential gaps to previously forecasted volume for the week. Review inbound query tracker for the week and report back on key highlights, identifying any areas for potential improvements.
