The Parts Supply Chain team are recruiting for a Transport Manager for our Parts Operations based in Dordon, Warwickshire on a full time fixed term contract until December 2027.

What you will be doing:

Reporting into the Warehouse Planning Efficiency & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the full management of the 3PL supplier on a day to day basis to ensure that all of our core KPIs are delivered on whilst identifying opportunities for improvements with the distribution channels and deliver a better service to our customers.

Skills & experience you can bring to the role:

  • In depth knowledge of transportation and managing a 3PL supplier to deliver against KPIs.
  • Experience within a high volume distribution operation, knowledge of warehouse processes and proficient in warehouse management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to analyse data, identify trends and make data driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing areas and processes for improvement within a transport or distribution operation.
  • Flexible approach to working and able to deliver within budget.

Dordon Volkswagen Group operates a 64,000 sq metres distribution centre in Dordon, which handles the distribution of all spare parts requirements for the UK market to over 800 sites including TPS (Trade Parts Specialists) and 90 sites across Republic of Ireland.
