About The Role
SALARY: Band 9 from 69,300.00 pa dependent on experience
LOCATION: Milton Keynes
HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.

An exciting role has opened up in our Software Engineering team as a Platform Owner - Intelligent Automation. You'll own and evolve our intelligent Automation strategy. This high impact, specialist role will be instrumental in delivering automation capability through UiPath, Power Apps and Automate, incorporating emerging technologies to drive the optimisation of our internal processes, increase operational agility and accelerate our digital transformation and deliver value across the organisation.
What you'll be doing:
- Own and evolve the Intelligent Automation strategy, with end-to-end responsibility for UiPath and Power Apps and Automate, while incorporating emerging automation technologies to drive efficiency and deliver measurable value across VWFS.
- Lead the automation of complex business processes, ensuring stakeholder alignment and effective dependency management.
- Develop, coach, engage, motivate and manage the team to perform at their best, role modelling effective people leadership and enabling a positive and inclusive culture.
- Provide technical oversight of automated solutions to ensure accurate, efficient, and reliable performance.
- Maintain automation-readiness criteria ensuring solutions meet onboarding standards and maintain the governance framework.
- Collaborate with key IT functions namely, Governance, Enterprise Architecture and Data and AI to ensure UiPath and Power Platform solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to IT standards.
- Support governance of AI initiatives, contributing to frameworks for ethical AI use, risk mitigation, and compliance.
- Identify automation and low-code skill gaps and drive targeted upskilling across IT and business teams and develop and implement training plans to address this.
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing automation solutions using at least one of the following technologies: UI Path, Microsoft Power Apps and Automate to enable you to navigate a rapidly evolving AI landscape and make future-fit technology choices.
- A passion, expert knowledge and relentless curiosity for intelligent Automation and enjoy sharing that passion with teams to support development and influence the organisations adoption of AI.
- Experience of developing roadmaps, leading PoCs, and bringing innovation into production.
- Highly successful at building relationships and managing stakeholders.
- Experience and enjoy driving and supporting the development of teams through effective coaching, mentoring and performance.
- Simplifying and improving existing processes and end to end experience of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Commercial IT experience with a strong understanding of programming concepts.
- Experience in business analysis and realisation of benefits.
- Supporting complex change and/or multi-disciplinary projects.
