We are seeking a Product Manager to support our Aftersales Channel Manager in the development and management of our Service Plan products. This role is key to ensuring our offerings remain competitive, customer-centric, and aligned with broader commercial goals.
In this role you will work cross-functionally to deliver innovative new products and enhancements to our existing portfolio, with a strong emphasis on compliance and market relevance. Flexibility to contribute to warranty and insurance product development within the team is also highly valued. Collaboration with the Marketing and Delivery teams will be essential to successfully launch and optimise products and propositions.
As a Product Manager, you will define product requirements and engage with stakeholders across various areas of the business, including Volkswagen Group (VWG) Brands and Retailers, to design propositions that meet both brand expectations and VWG standards.
Your Responsibilities:
- Contribute to strategic planning and manage the features backlog for Service Plan products, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to customer needs and commercial targets.
- Actively support the development and implementation of new products and propositions for the business.
- Identify opportunities to drive innovation and add value to our current product portfolio, collaborating with cross-functional teams for successful implementation.
- Serve as the key liaison between the business and delivery teams, ensuring operational requirements are met and product changes are smoothly integrated.
- Collaborate with the Digital & Direct team to conduct in-depth market analysis and customer research to identify new market opportunities and develop products that satisfy customer needs.
- Act as the voice of the customer throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring deliverables meet business goals and adhere to quality and performance criteria.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong working knowledge of the automotive and financial sectors, including products, sales channels and customer journey.
- Significant experience within a digital and commercial environment.
- Understanding of commercial design and possess the ability to unlock the potential of ideas while considering market sizing and investment implications.
- Knowledge of automotive financial services is desirable.
- Experience in operational design and identifying requirements for idea implementation.
- Familiarity with key operational compliance aspects, such as Consumer Duty and FCA/regulatory compliance.

Hybrid Working:

The hybrid working policy can be applied differently at departmental level as the role requires. We would also expect new colleagues joining us to work from the office for the entirety of their training period until competent in role.
