About The Role

SALARY: Starting from £28,708.80 pa dependent on experience

LOCATION: Milton Keynes

HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.

HOURS / CONTRACT TYPE: Full Time Permanent, 32.5 hours per week

We are looking for a Corporate Credit Specialist to drive the smooth, accurate and consistent delivery of the end‐to‐end credit assessment process for all our Dealers. This high‐impact, analytical role will play a key part in strengthening our decision‐making by producing insightful operational reporting, uncovering anomalies, and safeguarding the integrity of our data. You will also support the Corporate Credit Assessment Team in managing and controlling wholesale funding limits—helping ensure our portfolio operates with clarity and control.

What you will be doing:

  • Comply with all VW Bank UK rules, regulations and standards, including the European Organisational Handbook (E‐OHB).
  • Analyse, interpret and input audited company accounts to maintain accurate Dealer risk ratings in the BERTA system.
  • Manage the end‐to‐end Dealer credit assessment process, ensuring all required documentation is collected, validated and approved within strict Section 18 German Banking Act timelines.
  • Prepare Dealer credit packs with the Credit Manager, carrying out financial analysis, assessing business structures (KYC), and requesting any additional information needed.
  • Administer and maintain systems used in the credit review process, completing End‐of‐Review tasks and ensuring all updates, diaries and scanned documents are recorded accurately.
  • Produce selected legal documentation for approval by the Credit Manager and/or Legal to ensure full legal compliance.
  • Register legal charges with Companies House and Land Registry to ensure Volkswagen Bank's security interests are properly recorded.
  • Work with the Credit Manager team and the Dealer network to support day‐to‐day relationship management, including limit switch requests and query resolution.
  • Generate monthly performance reporting (dashboards, KPIs) using systems such as SAP BW, SAP BCA, Experian, Companies House, Section 18, SLI Dealer Portal and BERTA.
  • Provide administrative support during Dealer closures, terminations or failures.
  • Maintain and update procedures, policies and ARIS maps to ensure they remain accurate, relevant and compliant with E‐OHB and UK/German legislation.
  • Ensure all daily activities are completed in line with E‐OHB requirements.
  • Build knowledge of Volkswagen Bank products to better support the Credit Manager team and identify sales opportunities.

Essential experience & skills:

  • Experience in financial services, banking and/or the motor industry.
  • Good understanding of balance sheets, financial ratios and security structures.
  • Strong drive, personal commitment and a desire to continuously develop skills and knowledge.
  • Proven ability to understand, interpret and work confidently with financial information.
  • A methodical, disciplined and proactive approach, with the focus needed to deliver in a fast‐paced environment.
  • Highly organised and self‐motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, use initiative and meet deadlines.
  • Customer‐focused team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships at senior levels.
  • Positive attitude with the confidence to challenge appropriately when needed.
  • Agile mindset, able to adapt quickly to change, learn fast and respond effectively to new requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
