We are looking for a National Sales Manager – Corporate New Business to manage and develop all new business sales activity, supporting the bids and implementation processes whilst maximising the penetration of VWFS's products and services. The role also ensures new prospective customers receive the highest standards in fleet advice and customer care.
This senior leadership role will be instrumental in leading and managing the Corporate & Strategic Sales Channel on a national basis for all new business opportunities. In doing so, the role makes a significant contribution to the achievement of the VWFS Fleet Business growth plans by winning new customers and growing the Portfolio.
What you will be doing:
- Lead "multi-level" customer relationships including leading meetings and presentations up to and including C Suite contacts at FTSE 250 companies to support current and future performance.
- Support Fleet Department strategy development activity and regular responsibility for leading proposition development projects.
- Achieve ambitious sales, profit and objectives as agreed with the Head of Fleet Sales for existing strategic and corporate business.
- Support the effective bids and tenders process of new business clients by ensuring a professional and structured response to new business opportunities.
- Develop and execute an annual sales plan for all relevant channels; balancing ambition and strategic planning disciplines to ensure smart profitable year-on-year growth.
- Provide senior level sponsorship for strategic prospects, supporting high value sales opportunities and acting as a point of resolution for client escalations to ensure optimum customer experience.
- Engage, train, develop, motivate and lead the Strategic Sales Managers and Corporate Business Development Managers to ensure the achievement of agreed national targets through regular team and individual performance meetings.
- Support the effective implementation of new business clients by ensuring a professional and structured implementation process.
- Measure and control fleet spend by sales channel to ensure sales targets are delivered in line with budget.
What you will bring:
- You will be an experienced sales leader within the fleet/financial services industry.
- You will also have experience of managing a remote field-based sales team with a proven track record of success.
- Ability to build effective relationships and successfully negotiate at Board of Director level across complicated organisational structures including our customer base, VWG and VWFS.
- Ability to understand the Master Lease Agreement with excellent commercial acumen.
- High level of interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
- Strong Leadership and coaching skills.
- Strong drive and tenacity to achieve targets and results.
- The ability to train, develop and motivate sales teams.
- Strong organisation and planning skills, delivering high quality output to deadlines.

- Sales Bonus: Opportunity to earn up to an additional £21k per annum based on meeting key performance metrics.
