About The Role
SALARY: From £41,567 pa dependent on experience
LOCATION: Milton Keynes
HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.

We’re looking for a Bids and Tender Manager to assist our Fleet team in securing business from new and existing clients across all sales channels by developing and managing all tender and bid requirements and processes. In this role you will be responsible for creating and delivering highly compelling business responses to the prospects and customers through structured bids and tenders processes. The role holder will also support and assist the International Co-ordination unit in European tender responses.
What you’ll be doing:
- Plan, co-ordinate and produce high quality, client focused tender submissions and proposals that clearly communicate our value proposition and respond directly to requirements outlined in briefing documents.
- Develop, implement and maintain an effective governance framework to ensure all content within the tender library, including core information, key facts and supporting materials remains accurate, consistent and up to date.
- Manage the end-to-end compliance process for all tender submissions, ensuring all documentation meets required standards and receives the necessary approvals from the Head of Fleet Sales.
- Ensure VWFS Fleet adheres to internal policies and external best practice standards relating to data governance, data handling and privacy across all tender activity.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing colleagues to guarantee all tender outputs are aligned with the brand identity and reinforce a consistent, professional presence in the market.
- Act as the internal champion for the tender library, promoting effective use across the business while empowering departments to take ownership of their respective content enabling efficient, accurate and high impact sales and marketing support.
- Support the ongoing development and refinement of the tender library, ensuring it includes up to date company information, high quality design assets and imagery tailored to all value propositions.
Essential experience & skills:
- Significant, proven experience in a similar B2B role, ideally within the automotive, fleet or leasing sector, with a strong understanding of industry dynamics.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial bid and tender management, with the ability to produce compelling, high-quality submissions that deliver results.
- Experience thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience using Salesforce (or similar CRM platforms) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical ability, with the confidence to interpret complex and varied information and translate it into clear, engaging, audience-appropriate content.
- Solid project management skills, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders, manage timelines and drive tasks to completion.
- Experience in developing and supporting business processes, contributing to improved efficiency, consistency and quality across tender activity.
- Proven ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and consistently high standards.
