Hybrid working: We want you to get the best out of your placement, so we operate a hybrid policy where undergraduates work in the office 3 days per week. There may be times where you will need to be in more frequently depending on the needs of the business.

We are looking for an undergraduate to join our Finance team as a Treasury Accounting & Finance Undergraduate where you will support daily treasury operations, cash reporting, funding activity and monthly financial tasks. You will help ensure cash positions, loan repayments, swap payments, reconciliations and reporting are accurate, timely and controlled across multiple entities. What will you be doing?
- Prepare and manage daily cash sheets and payments for Volkswagen Bank Branch UK, VWFS UK and MAN FS.
- Investigate differences between forecast and actual closing balances and explain significant movements.
- Work with Treasury colleagues on daily cash flow and loan or deposit requirements.
- Prepare payment requests for maturing loans and coordinate signature availability.
- Maintain loan portfolio spreadsheets, resolve differences and comment on exceptions.
- Monitor bank accounts daily and confirm expected payments and receipts.
- Prepare monthly swap payments and maintain swap schedules, confirmations and month-end processes.
- Support month-end reporting, interest accruals, reconciliations and monthly KPIs.
- Maintain procedure documentation, support Treasury mailbox queries and contribute to Management Information packs.

- Working towards a Finance related degree or qualification.
- Previous experience in a Finance or Treasury team would be beneficial.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Ability to work flexibly under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines.
- Strong eye for detail, accuracy and statistical problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and a strong team player who is open to new challenges.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
- Confident in stakeholder management and able to drive process improvement.

What our recruitment process looks like:
- Apply and upload your CV, covering letter and answer a few application questions.
- You’ll be invited to complete a Situational Judgement Test. This is a short multiple-choice question set to help us understand how you may approach situations.
- If you pass this stage, you will be invited to complete an online video interview where you will have the opportunity to tell us more about yourself.
- If successful, your last step in the journey is to attend an in-person Assessment Centre at our Milton Keynes office. You’ll also meet some of our managers and our current undergraduates to find out more about a placement year with us.
