About the role
The Renewals & DRIVE Team are dedicated to providing proactive support, guidance and effective Account management to Contract Hire customers.
The Digital Sales Executive is a sales role dedicated to securing business from existing and prospective Contract Hire customers in both private and corporate sectors (selling both regulated and unregulated finance) by making pro-active outbound calls with the aim of building effective customer relationships, increasing sales, promoting VWFS and upselling our Maintenance Products.
Responsibilities
The role holder will require a thorough understanding of Business User and Customers’ needs in order to present appropriate solutions as part of a broader cross-sell and up sell conversation.
In order to be successful, the role holder will require Contract Hire product knowledge and excellent customer service skills, along with the ability to build rapport, provide information, sell and promote products over the telephone.
With the majority of time spent on telephony work and admin activity, the role holder will require the tenacity and drive to make high volume calls and achieve various sales and renewal targets. They will also be expected to complete the below tasks:
- Use a blended approach of telephony-based sales strategies and techniques, and digital communication to achieve sales
- At all times, act in accordance with Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles, ensuring good customer outcomes for our customers as per FCA requirements
- Follow up on digital leads in line with our Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with the aim to convert sales to the agreed targets
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Business User and Customers’ needs by using insight from the customer contract and product knowledge in order to present appropriate solutions as part of a broader up sell conversation
- Action contract changes and keep data integrity at a high standard
- Place orders with our Retailer network in order to ensure replacement vehicles are ordered and delivered in accordance to the customer expectation
- Identify Master Lease Agreement and fleet service opportunities and ensure these are handed to the Fleet Indirect Sales Team
- Respond to leads from Client Services Advisors or other areas of the business
- Understand and adhere to all regulatory requirements; internal and external FCA compliance-based requirements including, but not limited to Identification and Verification (ID&V) processes, financial crime and data protection
Skills and Experience
- A sound knowledge of Finance products and services
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Accurate data capture with good attention to detail.
- Excellent time management with a tenacious, resilient, self-motivated attitude.
- Strong customer services focus; passionate about customer outcomes.
- A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to react appropriately to changing circumstances and demands.
- Ability to demonstrate positive behaviours and act as a role model for others.
- Previous sales experience preferred
- Full PC Literacy essential, including Microsoft office
- Ability to identify and communicate/negotiate with various external company decision makers; including Directors and Fleet Managers.
- Recognise buying signals and influence buying opportunities; negotiate and close a deal using sales acumen to sell products and services
