About The Role
SALARY: From £48,109 pa dependent on experience
LOCATION: Milton Keynes
HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.
HOURS / CONTRACT TYPE: Full time, permanent

We’re looking for a Solutions Architect (Infrastructure) to provide architectural support and solution designs for several transformation initiatives, such as the Global Data Centre (GDC) transformation programme. This specialist role will be instrumental in delivering robust, scalable, and future-proof technology solutions that underpin our key change programmes and enable the organisation to evolve with confidence.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drive impactful business and IT change across the organisation, helping to deliver our strategic goals and long-term business vision.
- Develop compliant Solution Designs and architectural options using our Architecture tooling, following our Enterprise Architecture Agile Principles. You’ll present and gain approval through the Solution Design Review and/or Architecture Review Board.
- Lead feasibility assessments and create clear recommendations for the UK Board of Management, supporting informed investment decisions and the mobilisation of new initiatives.
- Evaluate new software solutions and secure approval from German headquarters in line with the Software Requirement Process (SWRP).
- Collaborate closely with IT teams, ensuring Quality Management (QM) processes are followed and all IT Governance and Acceptance into Service requirements are met.
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into robust architectural designs, using reference architectures and guidance from the Enterprise Architecture function to produce solution blueprints.
- Provide support and direction to IT Engineering teams during delivery, ensuring solutions remain aligned with the approved High-Level Solution Design.
