About The Role

SALARY: From pa dependent on experience

LOCATION: Milton Keynes

HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.

HOURS / CONTRACT TYPE: Full time permanent (35 hours p/w)

We’re looking for an experienced vehicle technician or do you hold relevant technician qualifications? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you and we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for a proactive and knowledgeable individual to join our Fleet Maintenance team. In this role, you’ll assist the smooth running of our retail fleet of passenger and light commercial vehicles by authorising service work, managing tyre queries, and helping reduce vehicle downtime.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Authorising routine services and tyre replacements in line with manufacturer guidelines and budget controls.
  • Supporting customers and internal teams with vehicle downtime issues, including arranging hire vehicles.
  • Providing updates on repairs and estimated completion times to customers and account managers.
  • Handling goodwill reimbursements and producing internal reports.
  • Communicating effectively across teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Meeting departmental KPIs around cost control, response times, and compliance.

Essential experience & skills:

  • Experience working as a vehicle technician or relevant technician qualifications.
  • A thorough and detailed knowledge of Maintenance processes.
  • A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to react appropriately and effectively to changing priorities and demands.
  • Confidence communicating both face to face or by telephone.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and ability to work under pressure.
  • IT literate with the ability to grasp new systems.
  • High level of time management and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Fleet leasing solutions.
