Hybrid working: We operate a hybrid policy where apprentices work in the office 3 days per week.
Our Treasury team plays a vital role in keeping Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) financially sound and future ready. As a Treasury Apprentice, you\’ll help manage daily bank reconciliations, maintain strong financial controls, and ensure our cash operations run smoothly and compliantly.
You’ll also be part of a collaborative team that values cross-training, shared knowledge, and continuous improvement, giving you the opportunity to build a strong foundation in finance while working towards a nationally recognised Apprenticeship Standard.
What will you be doing?
- You will complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship in AAT Assistant Accountant
- Support with checking and matching bank and balance sheet accounts
- Support the team by posting financial entries into our systems
- Assist with audit tasks by helping gather the right information and making sure everything is completed on time
- Work with the team to fix any issues found during audits and help keep everything running smoothly and correctly
- Support senior team members with day-to-day tasks
- Take part in cross-training to learn different parts of the job and help cover key tasks
What are we looking for?
- Maths and English GCSE – grade C or Level 4 and above
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and knowledge of SAP or similar financial systems
- Team player, enthusiastic and friendly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about wanting to progress a career in Finance
- Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
