About the role:
This is an exciting role with the opportunity to be responsible for a range of activities critical to the delivery of the Risk Management strategy. Full time, permanent role. Salary Starting From £41,567 Plus Benefits.
Working with a range of stakeholders across the business and externally, you will deliver bespoke data modelling of the VWFS portfolio, pro-actively analyse trends and provide mitigating actions to any longer-term risks identified, with the data insights to back this up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce the Planning Round and monthly reforecast numbers for the VWFS portfolios.
- Design, construct and implement financial modelling techniques that are transparent, auditable, and flexible to deliver both regular and bespoke management information.
- Discuss advanced model building with external consultants, providing the necessary data and guidance.
- Produce and deliver monthly voluntary termination and residual value provisions and supporting schedules.
- Respond to queries presented by HQ colleagues.
- Produce detailed portfolio analysis, including the production of residual value performance analysis, settlement analysis, and voluntary termination analysis, identifying any anomalous behaviour.
- Provide detailed and informative insight to support observed portfolio and market movements along with the associated provision fluctuations.
- Design and deliver economic reporting taking into account micro and macroeconomics to ensure trends are spotted and can be acted upon.
This is what you will bring to the role:
- Solid commercial experience within the automotive/financial service industry, preferably in a Risk or comparable analytical environment.
- A good understanding of applicable accounting standards and an overall appreciation of the financial impacts of provided budgets and forecasts.
- A thorough understanding of the VWFS (UK) Ltd product portfolio.
- Experience with SQL, Business Objects, Tableau, and Excel.
- Experience of confidently and appropriately making, defending, and challenging decisions that impact a portfolio and its performance.
- Experience of managing a rapidly developing workload with regular operational requirements and both short and long term ad hoc tasks.
- Excellent communication skills across the spectrum up to Senior Management level with the ability to target outputs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to interpret complex problems, formulate solutions and innovate to ensure effective delivery under pressure.
