About The Role

Reporting to the Head of Fleet Operations, this pivotal role focuses on establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships with Multi-Make OEMs. You will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing vehicle supply opportunities and associated services, enabling the Fleet Sales team to meet ambitious targets across channels including Corporate, Volume, Salary Sacrifice, and SME. You will also lead the management and evolution of our Preferred Supply Network (PSN), ensuring high service standards, customer satisfaction, and added commercial value.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Represent VWFS Fleet at a senior level, acting as the primary contact for high-level engagement, issue escalation, and partnership development with Multi-Make brands.
  • Collaborate with OEMs to identify and secure volume deals for upfront purchases, distributing through targeted sales channels.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing that supports business needs across Fleet Sales stakeholders.
  • Foster strong internal stakeholder relationships to align supply opportunities with strategic growth objectives.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration with Multi-Make brands to streamline processes and drive mutual value.
  • Own and manage all legal trading agreements with Multi-Make manufacturers, working closely with Legal to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Lead and manage the Preferred Supply Network—including all trading agreements and acting as the escalation point for operational concerns.
  • Oversee the supply chain for non-VWG brands to our Retailer as Customer (RaC) channel, negotiating manufacturer and dealer terms to meet customer needs.
  • Monitor partner performance via KPIs, reporting, and feedback, and drive continuous improvement aligned with VWFS Fleet’s growth strategy.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of:

  • Proven ability to build and influence relationships up to Board level across complex organisations.
  • In-depth knowledge of the vehicle fleet, vehicle supply, and automotive finance sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic planning expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience crafting persuasive Board-level proposals.
  • A self-starter attitude with high energy, motivation, and resilience.
  • Ability to address strategic and operational challenges while delivering within budget and expectations.
  • Experience in manufacturer relationship management with a record of creating value-driven partnerships.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience working across multiple manufacturers.
  • Leadership experience within the vehicle leasing and/or broker sector.
  • Preferably, a track record of managing diverse supplier networks and converting customer needs into successful outcomes.
