Salary: Up to £52,000 pa (pro rata) dependent on experience

Location: Milton Keynes

Hybrid Working: Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office; however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.

Hours / Contract Type: Part Time Permanent - 32 hours per week

Are you passionate about employee relations and making a real impact across a business? Do you thrive on partnering with managers, influencing decisions and driving positive people outcomes? We’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor to provide expert HR guidance and support, working closely with managers at all levels across the organisation. In this role, you’ll actively contribute to the delivery of our company strategy by enabling strong people management and delivering high-quality, consistent employee relations support.

Working alongside key business stakeholders, HR Business Partners and the ER & Compliance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end employee relations cases, driving manager capability and ensuring compliant, positive outcomes in line with UK employment law and best practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as a trusted partner to the business, influencing, challenging and coaching people managers to competently manage ER activity and contractual changes.
  • Manage stakeholders throughout each case, escalating complex or high risk matters when appropriate, while ensuring consistency, compliance and alignment with our values.
  • Ensure effective management of ER cases through accurate tracking, detailed documentation and clear audit trails.
  • Lead on sickness absence casework, providing expert advice and support in line with employment legislation.
  • Coordinate and deliver annual HR processes, including facilitating performance calibration sessions and developing high quality guidance and training materials.
  • Support the wider HR Operations team with the delivery of people plans, including talent, succession and resourcing initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience managing ER cases end-to-end, coaching managers and building their capability to lead effective, engaged teams.
  • The ability to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong problem solving skills, balancing commercial needs with a positive employee experience.
  • Excellent written English, with the ability to produce detailed case documentation, reports and formal correspondence.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels.
  • A strong moral compass, with the confidence to challenge constructively while upholding company values.
  • Experience designing and delivering training and presentations that build manager capability.
  • High emotional intelligence and a genuine curiosity to understand people and their perspectives.
  • CIPD qualification (preferred).
