Maintenance Controller role at Volkswagen Financial Services (UK).

Location: Milton Keynes. Hybrid working: 20% of working time in the Milton Keynes office; flexibility expected to meet business and role needs.

Hours / Contract type: Full-Time Permanent.

Salary: From £26,368 – £32,961 dependent on experience.

What you’ll be doing

  • Authorising routine services and tyre replacements in line with manufacturer guidelines and budget controls.
  • Supporting customers and internal teams with vehicle downtime issues, including arranging hire vehicles.
  • Providing updates on repairs and estimated completion times to customers and account managers.
  • Handling goodwill reimbursements and producing internal reports.
  • Communicating effectively across teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Meeting departmental KPIs around cost control, response times, and compliance.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Experience working as a vehicle technician or with relevant technician qualifications.
  • A thorough and detailed knowledge of maintenance processes.
  • A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to react to changing priorities and demands.
  • Confidence communicating face to face or by telephone.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and the ability to work under pressure.
  • IT literate with the ability to grasp new systems.
  • High level of time management and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of fleet leasing solutions.
  • A team player with the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
