SALARY: From £29,854 pa dependent on experience

LOCATION: Milton Keynes

HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.

Are you detail-oriented and analytical? In this role you’ll be the go-to expert for understanding, investigating, and resolving complex transactions on customer accounts. You’ll proactively identify anomalies and exceptions in processing, uncover root causes and design effective solutions to improve and evolve our operational processes. Your insights will help shape smarter, more efficient ways of working, ensuring accuracy and clarity in our financial operations.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Monitor and investigate customer accounts to resolve Net Debt transactions, working to set targets and ensuring fair treatment of customers.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in SAP FI customer account management, supporting teams across the business with advice and problem-solving.
  • Identify and process customer refunds in line with company policies.
  • Understand how different systems interact with the main accounting platform to maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Use root cause analysis to spot process issues and support training to prevent future errors.
  • Provide clear and insightful operational and management reporting through data analysis.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • In depth knowledge of SAP FI is essential.
  • AAT Qualified or part qualified Accountant.
  • An understanding of the VWFS portfolio and a commercial awareness.
  • Be experienced in the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, investigation and clearing of outstanding items.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to clearly define and investigate complex business process issues.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and convert findings into recommendations and successful outcomes.
  • Organised and able to work flexibly and effectively under pressure in order to meet deadlines.
  • Methodical and disciplined approach to work.
