Hybrid working: We operate a hybrid policy where undergraduates work in the office 3 days per week. There may be times you will need to be in more frequently depending on the needs of the business.

Eligibility: To apply for our undergraduate placement scheme, you must be studying for an undergraduate degree that requires a placement year. Master’s students are not eligible for this placement. Please consider if you live more than 60 minutes away from post code MK15 8HG; relocation or commutable distance is required.

What you’ll be doing

Our Compliance Team are looking for a Compliance undergraduate to help support the team in ensuring regulatory compliance and managing risks. In this fast-paced environment, you will contribute to our team\\\’s success by assisting with financial services regulation, compliance monitoring, corporate finance, and governance. In this role you will learn valuable skills and methods to develop your expertise in Legal and Compliance approaches. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and be part of a dedicated team committed to supporting our business and customers.

  • Supporting the Compliance team with summarising and assessing the impacts of changes by identifying the risks associated with business activities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare the monthly committee meeting pack by producing, managing and organising management information
  • You will manage the compliance policy inbox used for advising on compliance matters across the business
  • Maintain a register of the changes to the regulatory landscape and communicate the changes to the relevant stakeholders across the business
  • To support with tracking and following-up findings and actions identified because of monitoring and review work
  • To assist and take ownership in updating and maintaining the Compliance intranet page
  • Assist in the maintenance of a regulatory policy suite to ensure it remains up to date with regulatory requirements and ensure that it is effectively communicated to staff

  • Studying a degree in Business, Law or other related degree, with the desire for a career in Compliance
  • You possess great interpersonal skills and are a team player
  • Resilient and self-motivated with the capability to work under own initiative
  • Methodical, analytical with a disciplined approach to work and the ability to learn and apply new or unfamiliar knowledge quickly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent PC skills, especially MS Office applications such as Excel and Word
  • Self-motivated, with excellent organisational skills and ability to use own initiative
