Asset Risk is responsible for activities critical to the delivery of the Asset Risk strategy, including residual value management and forecasting.
You will be responsible for forecasting used and Multi Marque residual values, building modeling and automation tools to ensure residual values are managed and checked automatically. Additionally, you will ensure the entire VWFS Asset portfolio is registered with the Asset Registration Agencies to protect VWFS’s interests and ensure portfolio data matches agency records.

- Excellent communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including the Board.
- Experience in technical report production, data and business analysis, financial and accounting analysis, and statistical techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Tableau.
- Ability to write detailed reports and present findings effectively.
- Ability to manage short-term requirements while understanding broader strategic goals.
Potential responsibilities include:
- Producing residual values for used vehicles up to 10 years old for VWG and other UK manufacturers, ensuring accuracy and proper loading into POS systems.
- Preparing reviews for the Multi Marque RV Committee, using various data sources and industry benchmarks.
- Presenting recommendations to the RV Committee with detailed rationale.
- Implementing RV Committee decisions into POS systems and communicating outcomes to stakeholders.
- Conducting Asset Registration Agency cleanses, liaising with agencies and internal teams to reconcile assets.
- Managing third-party relationships with Asset Registration Agencies and handling related contractual tasks.
- Reviewing daily handshake and rejection reports, resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborating with Group Risk Management to ensure modeling techniques comply with standards.
- Designing transparent, auditable financial models to test RV setting methodologies.
- Supporting RV setting processes across international teams.
- Representing VWFS at vehicle launches.
- Developing and maintaining reports on Asset Risk activities, maximizing automation and efficiency.
- Conducting pre- and post-RV Committee analysis to monitor changes and identify anomalies.
- Maintaining and improving core Asset Risk systems in collaboration with internal and external suppliers.
- Driving automation and process improvements related to valuation data.
- Evaluating and innovating current business processes for future strategies.
