An exciting opportunity for a number of Section Engineers to join our team on our prestigious long term project in Plymouth. This position will require the ability to pass security clearance and you must be a UK National.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all engineering duties and ensuring any engineers under your control complete their duties.
- Educate and mentor the engineering team.
- Input into RAMS, temporary works briefs, ITPs, weekly progress and planning updates, NCRs, TQs and Early Warnings.
- SHE performance at site level to support Line Manager.
- Quality performance at site level with regard to standards of both workmanship and documentation.
- Accuracy of engineering controls and performance and management of site engineering team.
- Ensure timely and accurate dimensional control for the construction of the works.
- Establish accurate and clear setting‑out on the ground.
- Communicate clearly to the subcontract personnel operatives what the setting‑out is and how it should be used.
- Maintain the long‑term setting‑out and project stations.
- Produce and implement the Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for your section of the works.
- Ensure quality checks are carried out and records kept.
- Raise Requests For Information (RFIs) and Technical Queries (TQs).
- Keep accurate records—diaries, photographs, marked‑up drawings, etc.
- Be aware and involved in the correct implementation of the quality management system.
- Maintain and collate quality records.
- Support the overall project quality goals agreed in the SMP.
- Ensure safe working of your section of the site.
- Apply all HSEQS policies and procedures where appropriate.
- Perform the role of existing services coordinator and temporary works supervisor.
- Engage in Safety Ripple programme.
- Develop the short to medium term programme for your section of the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering.
- 5 Years' Experience Working Towards Professional Certification.
- Proven technical organisational skills.
- Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and safe systems of work.
- UK National.
