You will be responsible for supporting electrical installations, repairs, planned maintenance, and new installations.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the installation of signs / columns, bollards and associated equipment
- 24‑hour emergency response / out of hours standby
- Assisting with the installation of any new build works
- Carry out works as instructed by the site supervisor in a safe manner, within the scope of relevant duties
- Electrical inspection and testing, including periodic testing
- Fault diagnosis and repair
- Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard and that the vehicle defect sheet is completed correctly
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ideally 3 years of street lighting installation experience
- Must demonstrate good awareness of site and company rules
- Safe isolation / G39SWQR qualification
- MEWP operator
- ECS H&S test
- First aid (appointed person)
- Manual handling
- Preferable registration to Highways Electrical Level 3 NVQ
- CPC hours and DQC card – LGV licence
- Mandatory drugs & alcohol screening for all staff
