Volker Services and its subsidiaries receive approximately 15,000 supplier invoices a month, which are processed into our finance system and routed for automated approval or three‑way matching (PO/GRN matching).
The role is a 1‑year fixed‑term contract based at our Hoddesdon head office and reports to the team leader.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process high‑volume supplier invoices, applying finance controls, tax, and CIS compliance checks.
- Process and manage Direct Debit invoices in a timely manner.
- Review and resolve rejected invoices.
- Liaise with internal departments to initiate new supplier records.
- Accurately process same‑day payment requests within designed timescales.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post to and from suppliers and sites.
- Perform ad‑hoc duties applicable to the Accounts Payable function.
Qualifications
- Previous Accounts Payable experience with double‑keying entry.
- Experience working with creditors is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer‑service orientation, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English – C grade or above.
