We are currently looking for a Highways Operative to join our Highways Term Maintenance Contract based out of Chieveley, Berkshire. Responsible for working with both the direct labour and sub-contract labour, meeting targets and deadlines on time. These include the operation of mechanical plant, kerb laying, drainage works, emergency call-out work and asphalt surfacing.
Responsibilities
- Operate mechanical plant and undertake highway maintenance tasks including kerb laying, drainage works, emergency call-out work and asphalt surfacing.
- Collaborate with direct labour and sub-contract labour to meet targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Previous highways maintenance experience
- Good standard of English
- Ability to use initiative
