The Assistant Bid Manager opportunity is a trainee position that offers a full training and development plan for someone who wants to develop a career in work winning.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and develop the necessary bid writing skills to be able to develop a career in bid writing in the rail industry.
  • Assist in the full bid quality submission process including managing deliverable schedules, developing storyboards, developing written responses to tender questions, reviewing responses, and ensuring the timely completion of pre-qualification questionnaires.
  • Assist in managing the Bid Library, maintain CVs, and produce case studies of completed projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other departments and functions, including key subject matter experts.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in English or Journalism or any other relevant degree.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrable evidence of ability to produce written responses.
  • Creative with proven IT skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in bid writing in the rail industry and keen to develop industry knowledge.
  • Previous experience within the Railway, Commercial, Construction or comparable industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to organise and plan, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time, prioritise and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Team player.
