Role Overview
VolkerHighways is a market leader in the delivery of highways and street lighting maintenance contracts. We are seeking a Trainee Operative to join our Traffic Management business based out of our Brentford Depot. The role involves working with direct and subcontract labour to meet project targets and deadlines, operating traffic lights and plant, and gaining certification in various aspects of traffic management.
Responsibilities
- Work with direct and sub‑contract labour to meet project targets and deadlines.
- Operate traffic lights and plant as required.
- Participate in training and obtain necessary certification in traffic management.
Qualifications
- Previous highways or reactive maintenance experience.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to use initiative.
- Enjoys working outdoors.
- NHSS 12D M1/2.
- NHSS 12 A/B.
