We provide integrated and ground-breaking solutions for the civil engineering and construction sectors, with specialisms in rail, highways, airports, marine, defence, energy, water, and environmental infrastructure. We're looking for a hands-on Lead Developer to shape our engineering direction and guide a talented development team.
You'll lead the design and delivery of high-quality software built on Azure, working with technologies such as C#, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, and Infrastructure as Code. You'll champion engineering best practice, support architectural decisions, and help drive continuous improvement across the team. You'll work closely with Product Owners, QA, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable solutions - while supporting developers through coaching, guidance, and technical leadership.
Please note that this is a permanent, full time role based at our Hoddesdon office.
- Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Developer, with strong hands-on expertise in Azure Functions (C#), event-driven design, and serverless architectures.
- Designing, developing, and deploying scalable, maintainable software solutions.
- Building Azure Logic Apps, workflows, connectors, and enterprise integrations.
- Core Azure services including Service Bus, Key Vault, Storage, API Management, Front Door/Application Gateway, VNETs, Subnets, and IAM.
- Git/GitFlow using GitHub or Azure DevOps, and modern CI/CD practices.
- Cloud testing approaches, including automated and integration testing.
- Working within enterprise-level software environments.
- Coaching and mentoring - demonstrable experience of providing guidance, coaching and mentoring supporting a team of developers.
- Project Delivery - experience of working across product owners, test teams and cross functional project teams to ensure successful delivery.
