VolkerRail Major Projects is an expert in collaborative working through joint ventures and alliance schemes. Collaborative working agreements are a proven strategy for delivering large, complex railway projects, and through its strong relationships with other major contractors, VolkerRail Major Projects has helped to deliver several of the biggest rail projects over the last decade. The SID is a fully integrated team that will bring together the strengths, capabilities, and knowledge of the partners and Network Rail. It will own the renewals work bank, manage it at portfolio level and drive a transition to a production management ethos. The SID is commercially aligned and jointly incentivised creating a ‘share in success’ environment. Business partners within the alliance will generate profit through performance against the Final Determination. The four partners, VolkerFitzpatrick, Octavius, Atkins, and VolkerRail are aligned to the core asset disciplines with the fifth partner, Network Rail Minor Works, being multi- disciplinary for low complexity, low value works. We have a great opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer – Track (CEM) with track renewals experience to work on the track renewals work bank of the SID project. You will be responsible for : Provide effective communication of information to facilitate compliance with Statutory, Industry, Mandatory and VolkerRail requirements for use by the projects team. Liaise with the projects team personnel to ensure their requirement are understood and complied with. Provide input on design, buildability and methodologies as required. Undertake all work in accordance with all relevant client and/or VolkerRail Standards and Instructions. Undertake Risk Assessments as required throughout the project lifecycle. Provide guidance and support as necessary to site teams to ensure: methodologies and processes for work delivery are developed; work undertaken is in accordance with the design, is compliant with client requirements and meets the required quality standard.About you Previously approved as Network Rail Contractors Engineering Manager (CEM) A Degree in Engineering or related discipline with an HNC/HND as a minimum. Demonstrable experience working as Project Engineer (CEM) within the track discipline. Experience and knowledge of the AMP process and handback of assets back into NWR maintenance. Confident communication skills, both in writing and in internal and external correspondence.
