VolkerStevin is seeking a Graduate Digital Developer to join our Digital Team in Preston. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering our "Tomorrow Now" strategy and helping drive our vision of being Powered by Data, Driven by People.

Working alongside experienced digital professionals, you will help develop and implement innovative solutions that improve efficiency, enhance collaboration and support project delivery across the business.

The Role

  • You will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to understand challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and develop digital solutions that deliver measurable benefits.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Developing applications, dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power Platform tools.
    • Gathering requirements and translating business needs into practical digital solutions.
    • Supporting the planning, development, testing and deployment of new digital initiatives.
    • Assisting with the rollout and implementation of digital tools and technologies.
    • Promoting user adoption through training, guidance and ongoing support.
    • Visiting sites and offices to engage with teams and champion digital ways of working.
    • Monitoring performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Capturing and sharing best practice across the business.
    • Supporting wider business improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and productivity.

About You

We are looking for a motivated graduate with a passion for technology, problem-solving and continuous improvement. You will ideally have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Data Analytics, Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • An interest in digital transformation and business improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
  • A collaborative approach and eagerness to learn.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, reporting tools or data analytics software would be advantageous but is not essential.
