Our structural solutions include bridge deck waterproofing, expansion joints, concrete repair and cathodic protection works, steel repair and strengthening work, carbon fibre and temporary works, jacking and bearing replacement. We also provide specialist lightweight decking and access solutions, as well as being specialists in long bridge and cable refurbishment.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Major Projects division to cover secured projects across the Midlands. However, the initial project would be bridge restoration work in Newport, Wales on a blasting and painting contract for 12 months. This presents a fantastic opportunity for someone with the relevant experience to join a growing contractor with a busy pipeline of work. The role will suit someone located in the Midlands, who likes to be on the road.
Key Responsibilities- Overall accountability for safe, compliant and successful project delivery
- Set project strategy, plans, programmes and delivery standards
- Own programme, cost, quality and HSE performance
- Set delivery strategy and manage risks, change and recovery
- Lead site teams and supply chain to right‑first‑time delivery
- Control budgets, resources and commercial outcomes
- Manage client, stakeholder and internal reporting
- Ensure technical, design and temporary works compliance
- Drive company values, team development and positive culture
- Technical qualification (example Degree in civil engineering or HND)
- Experience within concrete and steel repair
- Some exposure on blasting and painting contracts
- Proven technical and project management abilities
- Strong organisational and management skills
- Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM regulations
- Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and implement safe systems of work
- Detailed knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues relevant to the project environment
