About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for Highways Street Lighting Electrical Operative to work on our Street Lighting contract in Wokingham, West Berkshire.

You will be responsible for providing support for electrical installations, repairs, planned maintenance and new installations.

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting with the installation of signs / columns, bollards and associated equipment
  • 24-hour Emergency Response / Out of Hours Standby
  • Assisting with the installation of any new build works
  • Carry out works as instructed by the Site Supervisor in a safe manner, within the scope if relevant duties
  • Electrical inspection and testing including periodic testing
  • Fault diagnosis and repair
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard, with vehicle defect sheet completed correctly

About you

  • Ideally 3 years Street Lighting Installations experience
  • Mustdemonstrategood awareness of site andcompany rules
  • Safe Isolation / G39
  • SWQR Qualification
  • MEWP Operator
  • ECS H&S Test
  • First Aid
  • Manual Handling
  • Preferable registration to Highways Electrical Level 3 NVQ
  • CPC Hours / DQC Card - LGV Licence
