Planner to join our team and support the successful delivery of complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects from tender stage through to completion.

Working closely with the Planning Manager, Project Lead, operational teams and clients, you will develop, maintain and monitor project programmes while ensuring compliance with Volker Stevin Planning Standards and business management systems.
You will become an integral member of the project team, building strong relationships across the business, our supply chain and the wider planning community.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Stage
Supporting the Planning Manager and Bid Manager, you will
- Develop tender programmes and planning deliverables in line with tender requirements.
- Identify programme constraints, risks, opportunities and contract requirements.
- Analyse quantities, resources and key project drivers that could impact delivery.
- Collaborate with estimators and operational teams to develop construction methodologies, sequencing and commissioning strategies.
- Produce planning reports, presentations and supporting tender documentation.
- Assist in assessing programme risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Apply resource planning and levelling techniques to produce realistic programmes.
- Liaise with third parties to resolve planning issues and achieve programme objectives.
- Deliver high-quality outputs within agreed timescales.
- Contract Stage
Working alongside the Planning Manager and Project Lead, you will
- Produce, maintain and update contract programmes in accordance with Volker Stevin Planning Standards.
- Support the implementation of project planning strategies.
- Prepare monthly programme updates, reports and client submissions.
- Communicate programme information effectively to project teams and clients.
- Participate in collaborative planning workshops and progress reviews.
- Support change management, programme recovery and contract administration activities.
- Maintain design and procurement schedules.
- Collect and analyse progress data, productivity metrics and as‑built information.
- Assist in implementing project time‑risk strategies.
- Support project teams in developing short‑term and weekly programmes aligned to the contract programme.

About you
- OND/HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline (desirable).
- Professional membership, or working towards membership, of organisations such as CIOB, ICE, RICS, RIBA or CIBSE (desirable).
- Experience using planning software and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of construction methods and project delivery processes.
- Understanding of programme risk management and project controls.
- Awareness of ECI processes and contract planning requirements.
- Experience working with digital document management platforms such as Asite is advantageous.
