We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Project Director to lead the successful delivery of major civil engineering projects across the UK. As the Project Director you will take full accountability for safety, programme, commercial performance, and client satisfaction on high-value, complex infrastructure schemes. This is a strategic leadership role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, operational excellence, and the ability to drive high-performing, multidisciplinary teams.

About you

  • Proven track record in a Project Director / Senior Project Manager role within a Tier 1 or major contractor
  • Extensive experience delivering complex civil engineering / infrastructure projects (e.g. highways, rail, utilities, structures)
  • Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (e.g. NEC contracts)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered status (CEng/MICE) desirable but not essential
