Position Overview
Responsible for definition and delivery of MEICA framework operational requirements, ensuring the framework and project delivery is supported across the full lifecycle: pre-construction, procurement and delivery strategy, HSEQ, resource management, technical governance, asset supportability and handover. The MEICA lead is a key senior management role and will ensure the framework processes and resource are maintained and developed to meet programme requirements and achieve long term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Delivery strategy including framework subcontractor arrangements and procurement strategies to ensure consistency in approach and operating within wider VWUK strategy.
- Reporting on MEICA performance and issues into Framework Board.
- Drive HSEQ culture and performance across all sites.
- Implementation of MEICA Health & Safety procedures, ensuring key Safety procedures are rolled out and consistently adopted including behavioural safety programme.
- Implementation of MEICA Quality Processes within procurement, installation, commissioning, etc including quality improvement.
- Overseeing optimum programme delivery across all sites and input to constructability reviews.
- Identification and planning of MEICA resource requirements across all sites - appointment and management of MEICA Delivery team resource throughout the lifecycle.
- Ensuring that technical governance is carried through procurement, installation, commissioning and handover of portfolio projects.
- Collaboration within the wider functions of the business – design / estimating / civils / commercial to support overall effective delivery and continuous improvement.
- Drive feedback and lessons learnt from completed projects and feed into continuous improvement of MEICA capability across VWUK.
- Develop and maintain client relationships and liaison to support framework success and individual project issues.
About you
- Engineering qualification – BEng, HNC, HND.
- Major water project delivery experience, preferably in Anglian Water.
- Knowledge of water industry standards and supply chain.
- Management of multi-disciplinary teams.
- CSCS/SMSTS / IOSH 4 Day.
