Introduction
To assist in the co‑ordination of all activities related to the implementation, development and maintenance of the Volker Fitzpatrick Safety Management System (SMS) on the project supporting the Project Health & Safety Manager.

- What You’ll Do
- Assist with Health & Safety / Environmental day‑to‑day site visits.
- Assist with Health & Safety Audits.
- Attend Health & Safety meetings and take notes.
- Monitor induction and book drug and alcohol screening.
- Ensure Permit to Operate for plant are completed where applicable.
- Check and monitor waste licences for operators and receiving organisations.
- Monitor electricity, water and fuel use.
- Check plant certificates.
- Issue reminders for upcoming re‑examination to subcontractors.
- COSHH risk assessments, ensuring that all operatives have signed onto assessment where applicable.
- Run management reports.
- Check and maintain site notice boards.
- Where there is an accident, support to be given to the Health & Safety Manager to investigate and obtain on‑site information and relevant documentation.
- General HSQE admin/filing duties.
- Training.

Qualifications
- Essential – GCSE English – 3 or above.
