About the Role
This role blends hands-on development (80%) with technical leadership (20%), guiding best practices, mentoring developers, and influencing design and architecture decisions. We’re seeking someone with deep technical skill and a mature, business-oriented mindset, who can balance innovation, usability, and delivery in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Frontend Development: Lead the build of complex, data-rich UI components and workflows using Angular 21, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
- Architecture & Design: Shape frontend architecture, enforce design system consistency, and ensure maintainable, scalable codebases.
- Leadership: Mentor developers through code reviews, pair programming, and best-practice guidance.
- Collaboration: Partner with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, performant user experiences.
- Optimization: Drive frontend performance improvements, focusing on load times, responsiveness, and accessibility.
- Innovation: Evaluate and introduce modern frontend tools, libraries, and frameworks to improve developer productivity and platform quality.
- UI/UX Influence: Contribute to visual and interaction design decisions, balancing aesthetic excellence with practical implementation.
- Delivery: Take ownership of features from concept to release, ensuring quality and reliability in a regulated fintech environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical Expertise: 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
- Strong UI experience - ability to translate complex workflows and data visualizations into intuitive, elegant, and responsive interfaces.
- Deep understanding of component-driven design, state management, and performance optimization.
- Experience integrating RESTful and event-driven APIs and handling real-time data.
- Skilled in testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Playwright, etc.) and modern build tooling.
- Familiarity with design systems, style guides, and UI documentation practices.
- Awareness of cloud deployment practices (AWS, CloudFront, API Gateway) is advantageous.
- Leadership & Mindset: Prior experience mentoring or leading small frontend teams.
- Mature communicator, able to influence technical direction and articulate trade-offs clearly.
