A leading financial consultancy in London is seeking a skilled Python Developer with experience using Slang. The successful candidate will join a fast-paced front office investment banking technology team, working directly with traders and quants to develop high-impact tools and systems used in pricing, risk, and trade lifecycle management.

This role is ideal for a strong Python engineer who has worked in an environment where Slang was used and is comfortable building and maintaining production-grade systems in a trading floor context.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support robust tools in Python, with integration and development in Slang where required.
• Partner closely with front office teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions for pricing, analytics, and trade support.
• Maintain and enhance existing codebases in both Python and Slang to improve performance, stability, and usability.
• Collaborate with global teams including quants, operations, and infrastructure to ensure effective delivery of projects.
• Provide production support and incident resolution for business-critical systems.

Required Skills and Experience

• 4+ years of professional software development experience in Python.
• Practical experience with Slang (must have), ideally in a production environment.
• Solid understanding of capital markets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with direct interaction with end users.
