Responsibilities

  • Build and launch features that delight millions of players daily
  • Write clean, performant, and maintainable Roblox Lua code
  • Partner with designers, artists, and producers to craft gameplay experiences
  • Debug and improve live game systems
  • Improve the game on the technical front and maintain high quality standards
  • Playtest and provide design/product feedback regularly

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent development experience
  • Strong foundation in CS fundamentals and problem-solving
  • Familiarity with game engines, scripting languages, version control
  • Excellent communication and collaborative mindset
  • 1+ years of Roblox development experience

Nice to Have

  • Shipped games or features on Roblox or similar platforms
  • Game jam or modding experience
  • Familiarity with live game systems (analytics, economy tuning, balancing)
  • 2+ years professional software development experience

Tech Stack

  • Roblox Lua scripting

Location

  • Remote – if individual is able to work EST/PST hours
  • Travel – 2 to 3 times a year (onboarding, RDC + possible team meet-ups)
